Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez is the founder and co-owner of Independent Capital Management in Coldwater, Ohio. A seasoned financial advisor with nearly 30 years of experience, Tony specializes in working with high-net-worth individuals and families, helping them navigate complex financial decisions and develop long-term investment strategies tailored to their goals.

Tony graduated from Xavier University in 1991 with a degree in Finance. He holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses with LPL Financial, along with life, health, and annuity licenses. He founded his practice, formerly known as WKG Financial Advisors, in 1997 and has built a reputation for thoughtful guidance, disciplined planning, and a client-centered approach.

Passionate about the financial markets, Tony enjoys studying both historical and current market trends and continually expanding his investment knowledge to better serve clients. He is also a member of Kingdom Advisors, a national community of Christian financial professionals dedicated to integrating biblical wisdom and financial expertise. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he served as a branch manager for U.S. Bank in Cincinnati and as an assistant branch manager for Beneficial Finance Corporation in Dayton, Ohio.

Tony has been married to Kathy (Knapke) for over 30 years, and together they have three sons and now three grandchildren. He is a strong supporter of local organizations and community-focused initiatives throughout the area. Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing distance running. He has participated in numerous races, including the Mercer Health 5K Challenge, the Minster Oktoberfest 10K, several half marathons, and marathons such as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon, and the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.
